San Diego, CA. - One result of the soaring increases in credit and identity theft are new laws, rules and regulations regarding the keeping of consumer information private, massive data breaches and the ever-changing tricks and tactics of the identity thieves. It brings about the immediate need for highly trained identity theft risk management specialists focusing on these new areas of risk including the internet and smart phones.

The all new ICFE Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist - CITRMS® XV course curriculum addresses such vital areas as: the nature and forms of identity theft and related fraud; consumer protection laws and related requirements of information keepers; the public dossier and other sources of information such as social media. To attain the certification, ICFE's CITRMS® XV candidates must successfully complete a rigorous 100 question final exam designed to thoroughly assess their comprehension of the CITRMS® XV Independent Study Guide.

Over 5,000 individuals, including privacy consultants, law enforcement people, lawyers, military counselors, paralegals, financial planners, credit and debt counselors, notaries, and mortgage brokers trained, examined and certified as CITRMS® by the ICFE since 2005.
