American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS.org) accepts ICFE Certification and Education Programs for Professional Development Units (PDUs).
San Diego, CA. - Acquiring Continuing Education Units (CEUs), also known as Professional Development Units (PDUs), are a fact of life for most licensed professionals and others who have earned specialty designations including teachers, nurses, and those selling insurance and/or securities, among numerous others. They are also required of people who have earned a professional designation, such as CFP - Certified Financial Planner or RFC - Registered Financial Consultant, which is overseen by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) and the Association for Planning and Counseling Education.
The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) based in Alexandria, VA, have four programs which call for certificate holders to acquire 75 PDUs every three years. The programs are:

The ICFE also has certification courses in credit and budgeting education, consumer debt collection compliance and four other programs that are accepted for continuing education units by a variety of professional organizations nationwide, CFPs and the CFP Board of Standards and Practices, the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors (NACCC), and the Association for Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) to mention a few.
